Kūkiʻo is unique among the resort communities along the Kona-Kohala “Gold Coast” as there is no hotel on the property. This exclusive, purely residential resort is comprised of the neighborhoods of Kūkiʻo, Kaʻūpūlehu, and Maniniʻōwali. Kūkiʻo’s luxury real estate offerings include custom-built homes and villas, as well as custom home lots. Homeowners and their guests can enjoy oceanfront dining at the Kūkiʻo Beach Club, which also has a beach bar, pool, spa and fitness facilities. Kūkiʻo’s golf amenities include the Kūkiʻo 18-Hole Tom Fazio-designed Championship Golf Course on the slopes of the Hualalai volcano with panoramic views of the coastline and the 10-hole short course in the Kūkiʻo neighborhood. The Kūkiʻo waterfront features Kūkiʻo Beach, a beautiful stretch of white sand beach along Kūkiʻo Bay.
Kūkiʻo
The heart of the community, Kūkiʻo hosts most of the amenities at the resort. The 150+ home sites and villas have spectacular ocean views and are conveniently located close to the Tom Fazio-designed Kūkiʻo 10-Hole Short Course and the Beach Club.
Maniniʻōwali
Maniniʻōwali is dominated by larger home sites, some as large as 3 acres. There are over 90 homesites, all with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, Maui (on a clear day) and the Big Island’s volcanoes. Maniniʻōwali features a large community sports and entertainment complex with clubhouse. The complex has a sand volleyball court, basketball court, tennis courts, swimming pool with hot tub and children’s pool and a fully equipped kitchen.
Kaʻūpūlehu
Kaʻūpūlehu is located in a historically significant area to the north of the primary Kūkiʻo neighborhood, and is adjacent to the Hualalai Resort and to Kona Village. There are nearly 100 Kaʻūpūlehu home sites, all of which have spectacular ocean views. Hosted at Kaʻūpūlehu along with the high-end homesites is the cultural reserve and interpretive center, which celebrates the Hawaiian heritage and promotes interaction of new residents with the area’s rich background.
