During my first trip to Hawaii in 1976 I knew immediately that this state was a place where I ultimately wanted to live.  I made several other trips to Hawaii and by 1992 I was ready to buy.  Originally I was planning to buy a condo on Kauai, but Hurricane Iniki diverted me to the Big Island where I bought a condo at Kanaloa in Keauhou.  Since that time I have also lived in Kohala, Waimea and now on Hawaii’s beautiful gold coast just north of Kona.

Raised on a cattle ranch in Nevada, I have always had a love for the outdoors.  My education includes a masters in mining engineering, and I was one of the first women chief executives in the mining industry.  Beyond my business experience, I believe in service and in giving back to the community, and I am a past Rotarian and have served on many non-profit boards.  My hobbies include working out, swimming, biking, participating in triathlons on this beautiful island and real estate investing.  I am also a pretty fair cook, something I learned from my Italian mother.

In 1999 I built my own home in which I now live with my husband Richard.  My two children graduated from Hawaii Preparatory Academy in Waimea, and I can advise relocating families about the schools and education choices on the Big Island.  With the children’s sports activities I traveled to almost every high school on the island.  I have held a contractor’s license in another state and I am experienced in looking at homes from a technical perspective including functionality, construction level, and remodeling possibilities to create value.  I have worked with numerous architects, contractors and subcontractors on the Big Island.

With my past corporate experience, construction knowledge, financing knowledge and an understanding of the varied locations on this island I believe that I can serve you from a true business perspective to make your Big Island real estate buying or selling experience pleasant and productive.
